Getting Started with Show Builder

Here's a quick guide to help you upload your footage, explore your Studio, and start building Shows.

1. Upload Your Footage

  • Go to the Upload tab.
  • Upload any video (even raw footage) you want to create Shows from.
  • Show Builder will analyze your Footage to understand what's happening in it.
  • After analyzing, it breaks the video into small Blocks (building pieces) with timestamps and short descriptions.
  • These aren't cut video files yet — just structured data ready for building Shows.
  • You can view all uploaded Footage in your Studio under the Footage section.

2. Explore Your Studio

Your Studio is where all your content lives. It has three main sections:

Footage

All uploaded videos ready to build Shows from.

Shows

Completed videos built from your Footage. Shows include:

  • Episodes (coming soon) — long-form Shows.
  • Shorts — short-form Shows automatically created from your Footage.
Blocks

The individual building pieces detected within your Footage.

3. Build a Show

Once your Footage is processed, you can build a new Show from it.

  • Go to your Studio, find the Footage you want to use, and click Build.
  • Or, open the Footage Details page and click Build a Show in the top-right corner.
  • A Build tells Show Builder to create a new Show by compiling the most fitting Blocks for the story it's building.

4. Build Settings

Minimum / Maximum Blocks

Choose how many Blocks you want included in your final Show.

Min / Max Block Length (seconds)

Set the minimum and maximum length (in seconds) for each Block.

Generate Background Music

If checked, Show Builder will automatically add background music based on the mood and theme of your Show.

Video Format

Select how you want your Show framed: Portrait (9:16), Square (1:1), Landscape (16:9), or Original (no crop).

Add Captions

If checked, captions for dialogue will be added automatically. You can choose from various caption styles.

Create Narrative

If checked, Show Builder will:

  • Write a voiceover script,
  • Generate the voiceover audio, and
  • Apply it to your Show.

You can pick from different voice styles or one of your custom Voices.

Extra Instructions

Add any storyline ideas or creative direction here. If left blank, Show Builder will automatically find and build the best storyline.

Extra Narrative Instructions

If you want the voiceover to take a specific angle or tone, describe it here. If left blank, Show Builder will generate a natural voiceover based on the storyline.

5. Review Your Builds

All your Builds appear under the Builds tab. Here, you can monitor the status of each Build (e.g., Building, Complete), view details, or download the finished Show.

6. Create Voices (Optional)

You can create custom Voices to use for narration in your Shows. Go to the Voices tab to train a new Voice from a short audio clip (around one minute of clean dialogue).
